A pioneer of the Oxford Corona vaccine – Maheshi Ramasamy, who was born in Sri lanka

Born in Sri lanka and having completed her medical education in the UK, Doctor Maheshi Ramasamy is now world renowned as the pioneer of the most widely accepted vaccine for the global outbreak of Coronavirus(COVID-19).

Maheshi Ramasamy holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine from Christ College, Oxford University UK, and specializes in infectious diseases and clinical medicine at the Oxford and London Medical Institutes.

She is currently a University Lecturer, serving on the The National Health Service Foundation Trust affiliated to the University of Oxford. Accordingly, Maheshi serves as the Principal Lecturer at Megan Medical College.

Maheshi is a Principal Investigator at the Oxford Vaccine Group and an award winning Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford.
