LPL 2020 given green light signal

Sri lankan health authorities have given the green light signal to go ahead with the Lanka Premier League(LPL), said Sports and Youth affairs Minister Mr. Namal Rajapaksa on yesterday.

In a tweet, Sports minister said the Ministry of Health and the COVID-19 Task Force had responded positively to Sri lanka Cricket, with regard to Lankan Premiere League 2020.

The Sports Minister Mr. Namal Rajapaksa thanked the President Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the Prime Minister Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa with regard to the matter adding the move is indicatory of the government’s commitment to adapt to ‘New Normal’ & return the country to normalcy whilst adhering to the Ministry of Health guidelines.
