WHO Chief Self Quarantines After Exposure To COVID-19

Sharing a message on Twitter, World Health Organization(WHO) Director General Mr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that he is currently undergoing quarantine at his home as he was identified as an associate of a Coronavirus(COVID-19) positive patient.

According to foreign reports, he stated, “I have been identified as a contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID19. I am well and without symptoms but will self-quarantine over the coming days, in line with WHO protocols, and work from home.”

The WHO director general Mr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has been at the forefront of the global response to the Coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic, which has infected at least 46.5 million people and led to more than 1.2 million deaths, according to a count of confirmed cases by Johns Hopkins University.
