Weakening in the spread of the Minuwangoda COVID-19 cluster, observed

Weakening in the spread of the Minuwangoda COVID-19 cluster, observed

The Health Ministry stated that a weakening in the spread of the Minuwangoda Brandix factory Coronavirus(COVID-19) cluster can be observed.

Joining a press conference held at the Sri lanka Health Promotion Bureau, Health Services Deputy Director General Dr. Hemantha Herath stated that there is a decrease in the number of Coronavirus cases reported daily associated with this cluster.

Deputy Director General of Health Services of the Laboratory Division of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ananda Jayalal stated, out of the 8000 PCR tests conducted yesterday, they have received the results of 500 tests.

Currently, the total number of Coronavirus(COVID-19) patients reported in Sri lanka stands at 8,870, while the number of death reported is at 19.
Another 32 patients who recovered were discharged from the hospital today increasing the number of recoveries to 4075.
