Relief for electricity bills in curfew areas

Relief for electricity bills in curfew areas

The Sri lanka government has decided not to disconnect the electricity supply to premises in curfew imposed areas, based on non payment of monthly bills.

Minister of Power Mr. Dullas Alahapperuma has instructed the relevant officials on this matter.

Quarantine curfew is currently effective in 64 police areas in the country 37 in Gampaha District, 15 in the Colombo city, 5 more in Kuliyapitiya, 4 others in the suburban areas of Colombo (Wellampitiya, Gothatuwa, Welikada,and Mulleriyawa), 3 police areas in Kalutara District (Payagala, Beruwala and Aluthgama).
