Thieves have stolen over 6 million gloves, worth $1M meant for first responders at Florida hospitals.

However, surveillance cameras have recorded that a group of thieves had broken into containers and loaded the gloves into a truck on Sunday night and fled.

The glove supply company said it was “saddened” by the fact that many hospitals in areas who are treating Coronavirus(COVID-19) patients are facing difficulties due to this.

“We’ve had hospitals asking for this product on a daily basis waiting for this to arrive,” said Mr. Rick Grimes, Medgluv’s vice president of sales and marketing.

“It’s heartbreaking in so many different ways.” He did not elaborate on whether the company thought the theft was lucky timing or an inside job.
