First contacts of Coronavirus patients to be home quarantined

First contacts of Coronavirus patients to be home quarantined

The first contacts of Coronavirus(COVID-19) patients will be placed under home-quarantine from now on, stated Army Commander Lieutenant General Mr. Shavendra Silva.

The decision will be in effect from today. As per the Epidemiology Unit of the Sri lanka’s Health Ministry, out of the total 7,872 Coronavirus(COVID-19) recorded in the country, 3,923 are currently receiving medical care at selected hospitals islandwide.

In addition, 527 people are under medical supervision at several hospitals over suspicious symptoms.
